Main Character: Name, Class and spec:
Real name and age:
Location and time zone:
South East England, GMT
As a guild we pride ourselves on our friendly community. Tell us a bit about you as a person outside of the game?:
I am a mother of one, engaged to a wonderful man who also plays WOW (but Horde I am shamed to say), I am a nurse (confidentiality means I rarely talk shop) and I enjoy PC games.
Which sort of projects and events would you be interested in participating in?:
I just moved to AD from Silvermoon so I want to learn to RP. I only play one char and I am 100% Achievement mad! Farming, Toys, Mounts, Reps.....you name it I want it on this character.
What made you apply to join this guild? What is it about us that attracted you and what do you want from us as a guild?:
Yeast Bread. Seriously. The sense of humour from your recruitment video and the atmosphere and camaraderie on display.
How did you hear about us?:
Your post on the AD forums lead me to your YT video and here.
If you are interested in our raiding project, what sort of raiding experience do you have?:
Any extra raiding comments? Have you raided in a previous expansion?:
I have raided in most expansions at differing levels of difficulty. I am happy to aid and to be frank I miss raiding with nice people.
You will be asked questions on your application. This is a normal process and will require you to check back here a few times. Are you ok with this?:
Hi Lawryn/Lauren! Thanks very much for your application! I'm glad you enjoyed our recruitment video. I'm sure a lot of people in the guild will be happy that someone else out their enjoys the yeast based humour! I'm also glad to see you've got an interest a wide range of in-game activities as we're always trying to engage our members in as much varied content as we can.
As mentioned in the last question of the application, we ask our current members to ask some questions so that we can get to know applicants a little better before we make a decision. I'll start the ball rolling by asking a couple of questions about your character/raiding.
1) What's your main spec? I assume it's Retribution from looking at your armory. but I thought I'd double-check (this isn't really important, I'm just nosy).
2) You mention you've raided Mythic difficulty before. As a guild, we generally don't push past Heroic as we've found interest in Mythic raiding has been low in the past due to the difficulty and commitments it requires. While that stance may be revisited in future if there's sufficient demand, would it bother you not to be pushing through to that level of content?
3) Occasionally we get a bit stuck on certain fights for long period of times which can be frustrating for the raid team. How do you keep up moral (your own and the guild's) during times like that.
I'll leave my questions at that and let other people get a word in. Again, thanks very much for your application. I'll be keeping an eye on this so we'll be in touch soon. :)
Hi Lauren, thanks for your application! It's always great to see another person completely obsessed with collecting achievements/ mounts/ toys, haha.
My questions to you are:
What is your most memorable moment during your time playing WoW?
How long have you been playing paladin and collecting things on it?
Which is your favourite achievement/ mount/ or pet?
Thanks, and best of luck with your application!
Hello there, my main spec is Retribution. I honestly rarely leave it nowadays. I am not bothered as to not pushing Mythic content. If I may, with all due respect if I wanted that I would look for a guild. Mythic raiding is a thing that if I can get it, WOOP! Like a good coffee. When we wipe and let us be honest we WILL, I would of course remind you all this is the perfect time to showcase what an amazingly beautiful corpse I make. Also an ideal time to admire my transmog. I use humour to get through and a burning determination to defeat the annoying foe who dared kill me. Unless its a murloc…..then RAGE!
Most memorable moment? Ha ha, having my little toddler on my lap watching but then while I went afk he started DPSing on Heroic Ragnaros in Firelands AND was doing fairly respectable DPS. I am told Vent was howling with laughter at the screams of first horror and then pride when I returned (Little wotsit held down PTT). I have played this char from the very beginning, starting with the Zombie event heralding the launch of Wrath though I consider myself a Wrath baby. The child has his own Horde (urgh) char on my account purely to ride around Undercity on Invincible. My favourite Achievement is likely Invincible.....I farmed for YEARS! My favourite pet is Baal as he is so cute! DEMON GOAT!!!!
If I can answer anything else, just ask!
Your app is absolutely lovely. And your story about your toddler playing is simply amazing, I truly laughed out loud. As for questions, I only have one:
"I just moved to AD from Silvermoon so I want to learn to RP. I only play one char [...]"
HOW ON EARTH DO YOU ACCOMPLISH THIS CLEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FEAT!?
Well, I have a connection to my Paladin. Plus I enjoy farming. I started WOW at a time of severe PND and a general feeling of Bleurgh in my life. So instead of being Lauren the useless lump I was sometimes Lawryn the powerful Paladin! I do it with ease as I just feel a connection to her. Plus still a LOT of Achievements, mounts, pets, titles and God knows what else I have to get still!
Hi again Lauren! Thanks for your patience while we reviewed your application. I’m happy to announce that we’ve decided to accept you into our guild! Message myself or another office in-game for an invite.
You may wish to join our Facebook group at the page below, but this is entirely optional:
