The Serpent’s Sting Tournament III
Event name: The Serpent’s Sting Tournament
Event manager: Roy - Chernobael
Minimum amount of players: 5
Date and time: Saturday 23rd February (If you have issue with this date and wish to attend, we will have a poll to decide the right time for as many as possible.)
The Serpent’s Sting Tournament is an old tradition of the Seven Serpents, abandoned during the Cataclysm when all hands were needed. Only with the Legion’s defeat has the world begun to wind down on apocalyptic events, and the Serpent’s Sting has once again been brought to the fore. The tournament's intention is to reveal the Seven Serpents' strongest champion, as well as to keep its members keen and prepared™ to fight for the future of Azeroth and beyond.
The Serpent’s Sting is a round-robin-style, best-of-three, one-on-one dueling tournament where all competitors face off against each other for points, one victory = one point. The twist is a mechanic called “Shedding”. For every point a competitor has over their opponent, they must remove one piece of "tier" gear, so if one competitor has 3 points and their opponent has 1 point, the first competitor must remove 2 pieces of gear. Tier gear includes head, hands, legs, feet and chest. If you have no more tier gear to remove, you do not have to remove any other gear.
After all fights are concluded, the competitor with the most points is recognised as the strongest individual within the Seven Serpents and is awarded the honorary guild title of “Venomheart” until the start of the next Serpent's Sting Tournament. If the previous victor does not compete, then they relinquish the title.
The previous location of the Serpent's Sting was the Temples of Storm Peaks. This event will take place at Unity Square in Boralus.
All contenders and observers are welcome, but please turn War Mode OFF for the event.
